In 1990, young bakery salesman Mark Godfrey set out with an ambition - to create a home For the Best in Baking. Fast forward 30 years and not much has changed - well, maybe just a few grey hairs and wrinkles. But the commitment and promise of providing top quality products, baked daily and at great value for money is still as fresh as the day he first opened the oven door.
Godfreys has since grown to multiple locations across Hornchurch and Romford. But we haven’t let that go to our head. Because we’re still independently owned and family run, which means we’ll never sacrifice on quality. No cheap ingredients and no cutting corners to maximise profit. We don’t have any shareholders in pinstripe suits telling us how to suck eggs… or bake bread. Because the name above the door, means more.
